The Astrology of February 2026

The Astrology of February 2026: Most Impactful Transits of the Month

This month, we’re navigating a huge shift in the energetic landscape, anchored by the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and the final movement of Saturn into Aries. We are also moving through a powerful Solar Eclipse in Aquarius and the start of a Mercury Retrograde in Pisces.

The primary focus is structural rebirth and visionary grounding, inviting us all to take disciplined action toward our highest ideals while remaining flexible enough to process deep intuitive shifts. This is the month where the "dream" begins to meet "action." However, with a Mercury Retrograde and the first eclipse in a new pair of signs, we are feeling open, sensitive, and raw. While both a Solar Eclipse and the conjunction in Aries instigate new beginnings, we still need to apply patience (Saturn) and compassion (Pisces) in heavy doses as we give birth to what’s new in our lives.

Outer Planets Changing Signs in February 2026

Saturn Enters Aries (Feb. 13 - April 2028):

Saturn now moves into Aries to stay, initiating a two-year cycle of disciplined self-assertion. This transit activates the "I Am" archetype, forcing us to build structures around our personal identity and take courageous, solo responsibility for our life’s direction.

Mercury Retrograde in Pisces

Mercury Enters Retrograde Pre-Shadow (Feb. 11th): The energy begins to slow down, encouraging us to review communication and plans regarding our boundaries, spiritual practices, and artistic projects.

Mercury Stations Retrograde in Pisces (Feb. 25th): This retrograde period calls for a deep psychological and emotional review. In the watery sign of Pisces, logic takes a backseat to intuition. We are invited to review our subconscious patterns and clear any mental "fog" regarding our spiritual beliefs.

Mercury Stations Direct in Pisces (Mar. 20th): Forward momentum slowly resumes. Pay attention to the insights gained during the retrograde period, as these will guide your steps forward.

Mercury Retrograde Post-Shadow Ends (Apr. 9th): We leave the themes of review behind as Mercury fully moves on.

Planetary Stations of February 2026

Uranus stations direct in Taurus (Feb. 3rd): When an outer planet stations, its energy is intensified. Its archetypal field is more prominent in our collective awareness in the days leading up to and away from the exact station date. Uranus stationing for the final time in Taurus signals a last push to stabilize the changes you’ve made to your financial systems and personal values since 2018. As it prepares to move into Gemini this April, the structural shift requires you to "lock in" these material upgrades so they can serve as a steady foundation for the upcoming era of rapid information and social networking.

Mercury Stations Retrograde in Pisces (Feb. 25th): As Mercury slows down in Pisces, we are required to shift from "thinking" to "feeling." This station marks a period where verbal clarity is less important than emotional honesty and internal reflection.

Lunations of February 2026

Full Moon in Leo (Feb. 1st)

The Full Moon in Leo is a potent invitation to celebrate your unique spark. We are called to cultivate disciplined creative expression and let our inner light be seen by the world. This is also an important time to focus on rejuvenation after a time of depletion. This Full Moon lines up with the pagan holy day of Imbolc, marking the midpoint of winter in the northern hemisphere. (Only a few more weeks until spring!) This is a powerful day to do a fire ritual, whether you light a candle and send your intentions into it, or enjoy sitting in front of a hearth or a bonfire. Welcome the light in all its forms,

New Moon / Solar Eclipse in Aquarius (Feb. 17th)

This eclipse signals a powerful new beginning or turning point related to authenticity, innovation, and aspirations. This is the first of a 2-year series of eclipses on the Leo/Aquarius axis. You may feel a strong urge to engage in humanitarian efforts or break free from groups or communities with whom you no longer feel aligned. This is a time to align your aspirations with your authentic, individualistic self. As this eclipse begins the 2-week “eclipse portal,” and is shortly followed by Mercury stationing retrograde, remember to take down-time to reflect on this new vision that is emerging.

Aspects of February 2026

Saturn-Neptune Conjunct in Aries (exact Feb. 20th):

This rare alignment in Aries creates a powerful fusion of structure and spirit. This encourages us to build structure around a dream, ensuring that our highest ideals are supported by a foundation of practical action and personal courage.

Final Thoughts

I'm sharing this because I know I'm not the only one feeling the weight of these shifts. I’m not gonna lie—January was challenging for me. My dad went back into hospice after a fairly stable period, and it has brought me face-to-face with the tension between what I can control and what I must release.

With Mercury Retrograde in Pisces this month—my North Node sign—I know I’m being called into a deeper level of inner work regarding 'letting go and letting Goddess.' Surrender has never come easily to me, but this month’s astrology is demanding it.

At the same time, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries marks a monumental rebirth. It’s an invitation to build a new structure (Saturn) that is finally in alignment with our spirit (Neptune). I am feeling both the vulnerability of this surrender and the quiet excitement of seeing what is waiting to be born on the other side of this month’s Great Reset.
