The Astrology of April 2026
The Astrology of April 2026: Uranus enters Gemini and the New Moon in Aries
The month opens with a full moon in Libra as we wrap up the Mercury Retrograde post-shadow. A powerful new moon sits amidst a lineup of planets in Aries, re-igniting the themes of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction. The big event this month is Uranus' final entry into Gemini on April 25th, where it will remain until 2032.
The primary focus is finding balance. We are invited to take inspired action, while cultivating harmony in the world around us and within ourselves. This is not an easy assignment, but it will be worth our efforts to attempt it.
Ways to Connect this Month
Are you feeling "Aries Fever"? With 4 planets crowding into the sign of the Ram for much of the month, the energy is high-octane and ripe for radical new beginnings. But so much Aries can also cause us to feel stressed, angry, and frustrated. How can we use all of this fire in ways that are supportive rather than destructive?
Join me as I make a guest appearance with my friend and collaborator, medium Jeffrey Peck, on his YouTube channel live on April 15th at 11:00 AM PST . We’ll get into how to meet the challenges and the opportunities of this potent time, along with a forecast of the big events of the rest of this spring.
Jeff and I will be diving into:
The "Super-Aries" New Moon (April 17): How to channel this intense pioneering energy without burning out.
Uranus Enters Gemini: A fresh look at the 7-year "Revolution of Mind" beginning April 25th.
The Uranus-Pluto Trine: Understanding the supportive, visionary alignment that begins this June.
Taurus Grounding: Practical ways to use Taurus season to soothe your nervous system and stay anchored during these fast-moving times.
There will also be a live Q&A to answer your questions about how these energies might be showing up.
Whether you’re looking for clarity or just a moment to catch your breath and get grounded, we’d love to see you in the live chat! We’ll also have time for Q & A.

Outer Planets Changing Signs in April 2026
Uranus Enters Gemini (April 25th):
The move of Uranus from Taurus into Gemini on April 25th marks a fundamental shift from reforming our physical and financial foundations to a multi-year "Revolution of the Mind." This transit sparks radical innovations in how we communicate, learn, and navigate our local communities through 2032.
As the planet of sudden change enters this air sign, the focus shifts toward a collective "mental rewire," where traditional education and information sharing are disrupted by breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, decentralized media, and hyper-local connectivity.

Mercury Retrograde ends Post-Shadow in Pisces
Mercury Retrograde Post-Shadow Ends April 9th:
We leave the themes of review behind as Mercury fully moves on. Mercury leaves Pisces for Aries on April 14th, further solidifying the transition from Pisces themes (surrender, release, reflection) to Aries themes (action, will, desire).
Lunations of April 2026
Full Moon in Libra (April 1st)
The Full Moon in Libra brings a moment of culmination and illumination regarding balance. Emotional issues come to a peak, allowing us to see what needs to be released or integrated to create harmony in our relationships, and greater balance amongst the sometimes competing areas of our lives. We become more sensitive to disharmony, and are invited to make shifts in light of the awareness available to us.
New Moon in Aries (April 17th)
The New Moon in Aries is a potent invitation to set intentions and plant seeds for growth related to taking action on our desires. We are called to begin a new cycle focused on courageous self-assertion. Because both the Sun and the Moon are accompanied by a lineup of 4 planets, plus Chiron, in Aries, we may feel frustration or anger more readily. Channel these Aries urges into action. And when in doubt, move your body.
Aspects of April 2026
Saturn-Neptune Conjunction in Aries (exact Feb. 20th, in range through mid-May):
This rare alignment in Aries creates a powerful fusion of structure and spirit. This encourages us to build structure around a dream, ensuring that our highest ideals are supported by a foundation of practical action and personal courage.
Learn more about the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in my full post on the topic.
Saturn Sextile Pluto (exact March 28th, in range through mid-April):
This alignment harmoniously blends discipline (Saturn) and transformation (Pluto.) This encourages us to stick with the challenging work of confronting our own shadow material. We must look at the things we need to change within ourselves before we can expect the world to change around us. This requires not only the courage to be accountable for our actions in the past (Saturn in Aries) but the willingness to take new approaches to our own healing (Pluto in Aquarius). This supportive aspect aids the sustainability of the new structures we build at this time.
Final Thoughts
This month’s centerpiece is the New Moon in Aries on the 17th. This isn't just any lunation; it is exceptionally potent. We have a rare event as the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron all gather in Aries. This massive lineup magnifies the sign's bold, pioneering energy for several days both before and after the event.
Every year, I do a personal ritual with a close friend to honor this lunation. Together, we create vision board collages to map out what we want to bring into being for the year ahead.* The New Moon in Aries is the perfect time for this. As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries represents the "New Year" of the astrological wheel. When you pair that with the start of a fresh lunar cycle, you get a double dose of "new beginnings" energy.
Aries is about the birth of the self and tuning into your deepest desires. As I build my board, I gain clarity on my path while simultaneously setting an intention for those dreams to manifest.
I view this yearly practice as my personal prayer to the Universe. Some seeds I’ve planted have bloomed quickly; others have taken years to come to fruition. However, this ritual is about more than just "getting things." It’s about the vulnerability of being present with my desires, asking for them out loud, and trusting that what is meant for me will find its way.
April prompts you to ask yourself the powerful, direct question: "What do I want?"
Apply this to every corner of your life. As you do, notice if any resistance or "I can't" thoughts arise. I encourage you to move through that friction. Have the courage to ask your guides, angels, or the Universe for exactly what you desire.
*Resource Tip:My personal practice is inspired by Jan Spiller’s book, New Moon Astrology. If you’re looking to dive deeper into lunar rituals, I highly recommend adding it to your shelf.
