Everything is in Capricorn

If today has felt particularly intense to you, you are not alone.

The Last Quarter Moon has been at the end of Capricorn all day, touching each of the planets there in turn: Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn. In short, we have FIVE planetary bodies right now in Capricorn until the Moon moves into Aquarius at 6:16 PM Pacific. Even thereafter, Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn will remain in Capricorn together through March 21st, when Saturn will then leave and move into Aquarius (more on that in an upcoming post).

So what does this huge lineup in Capricorn signify?

Capricorn energy is about commitment, responsibility, and duty. It’s about our connection to our Great Work. If you have some time at home (as many of us do right now), it’s a good time to work on any projects that you are ready to move to the completion phase. But be mindful about choosing a something that is truly important to you, that has been close to your heart, a dream, in alignment with your calling in the world.

If you’re not sure what that is, but you are itching to start something new, the energies will be more supportive of that after next Tuesday’s New Moon in Aries. By then, the Sun will have moved into Aries, kicking off a new season. Aries is the sign of new beginnings, fresh starts, and taking action. New Moons are also great times to plant new seeds, and the Moon in Aries is particularly powerful for that.

The Capricorn pattern will begin to break up fully when Mars enters Aquarius (3/30), leaving Jupiter and Pluto there in conjunction for the rest of the year. In the meantime, use the super-focused and intense energy of the next few days to take at least a few steps toward those accomplishments that are most meaningful to you. Immerse yourself. At least it will keep you from checking the news every five minutes!
