Have you ever attempted to read your own birth chart, and found you just didn’t know where to begin? Or, have you always been curious about astrology, but found books on the topic to be complex and incomprehensible? If so, these teleclasses are for you (see info to the right on teleclasses).

Each class module will focus on a different topic of astrology.  Included will be visual aids, downloadable chart examples, and/or specific hands-on demonstrations of the techniques discussed.  There will also be a 15-minute period devoted to Q & A.  Class sessions are 90 minutes, and are conducted via phone. 

Note:  All classes require a minimum of 6 students, and have a maximum enrollment of 10 students.

Module 1:  Planets and Signs

This module is geared toward those with an interest in learning the basics of astrology. No previous experience is required. We will explore the archetypes of each planet and sign, and begin interpreting the placements of planets within different signs.

Module 2:  Houses and Beginning Interpretation

This module delves into the meanings of the houses, and we begin to combine the interpretation of planets, signs and houses.  This is the first step toward chart synthesis, and necessary in order to read a natal chart.

Module 3:  Introduction to Aspects

Aspects between planets in the natal chart add an important layer to interpretation.  This module illustrates how aspects to our personal planets and Ascendant give us more information as to how these planets function within the natal chart. 

Module 4:  Introduction to The Nodes

The nodes are used in evolutionary astrology to offer insight into the past-life and karmic situation coming to bear on the present incarnation.  The awareness of the soul experience in the past, represented by the south node, and the “medicine” offered by the north node, offer an integral facet of evolutionary chart interpretation.

What is a Teleclass?

A teleclass is a convenient way to learn in the comfort of your home.   You learn via verbal instruction, combined with visual aids in the form of online material (emailed to you beforehand)

The logistics:

Once you register with Dena, you will be notified by e-mail with the conference call number and passcode.

You will be responsible for the long distance tolls, which will be charged by your phone company. For most people, this usually runs about $3-$6 for an hour (if you don’t have a long distance plan). Calling Cards can also be used. (Note: If you are an Astrology Professional, your tuition may be tax-deductible as a training expense. Consult your tax advisor.)

Robert Place

Leisa ReFalo’s teleclasses with Robert Place are an exceptional opportunity to learn from a gifted tarot reader and artist.  I had the pleasure of taking the teleclass on “Dream Divination,” which I found fascinating and helpful in my own work with dreams. 

Leisa has also produced a CD-Rom of the class materials for “The Symbolism of Alchemy” course taught by Robert.  I found the CD-Rom, which includes all the audio of the teleclass plus bonus materials and an accompanying booklet, to be a great way to educate myself on the symbols of alchemy.  I highly recommend it.
